About the artist

CK Koh is a contemporary artist & children’s book author who works in both fine arts media, such as painting, mix-media and digital media.

Koh’s style and subject matter resonate amongst the new generation of young professional art collectors in Malaysia. From the onset his works appear to have a cheery outlook. Upon closer inspection there is a more serious and underlying meaning to his works that has captured the spirit of a generation. At Art Expo Malaysia 2017, he showcased an installation booth titled ‘House of Stars’ where Koh purposely recreated the village house where he grew up in and housed within it a works of iconic western icons in his distinct Boxboy style.

In between exhibitions, Koh has been instrumental in bringing his art to children and the underprivileged by producing children’s picture book, something he has been doing since 2010. Koh is also teaching in The One Academy and is currently the Deputy Head of Fine Arts Department.
