About the artist

Sepand Danesh’s artistic exploration revolves around a realm of silence that invites diverse interpretations. His works embody the presence of solitude, rooted in his personal history. Having fled Iran and lived through years of war, Sepand’s family settled in France, where he immersed himself in a new culture and learned its language through books. The central theme in his paintings is the corner, traditionally associated with punishment for children, yet it also represents a space for introspection and contemplation, whether by choice or circumstance. Through carefully selected visual elements, his vertical compositions offer multiple interpretations that often evoke the poignant memories of a disrupted childhood.
