马苏里-马兹兰

关于艺术家

Singapore-based cultural worker, object maker and co-founder of Tekad Kolektif, Masuri graduated with a BA in Fine Art (First Class Honours) accredited by Goldsmiths, University of London in 2018.

He was a recipient of the prestigious Goh Chok Tong Youth Promise Scholarship (2016), which recognises his artistic ability and numerous contributions to society. He has also volunteered 300 hours to the society. He was a recipient of the Japan Traffic Culture Association’s prestigious 38th International TAKIFUJI Art Award (2017). He was also conferred the 19th Winston Oh Travelogue Research Award (2018) and the MENDAKI Anugerah Cemerlang (2019) for achieving the top percentile of his cohort. He was awarded the NAC LASALLE Community Arts Mentorship Programme (CAMP) (2019) to co-lead grassroots art workshops. He was also part of the curatorial team for the recent exhibitions, With You Here: Between Defamiliarization, Objectifs Centre and Resituating Home(work): Hyper-Material Domesticity in conjunction with Singapore Art Week 2021.

Masuri debuted a sold-out solo presentation, Softstrong at Coda Culture, Golden Mile Complex, SG (2019). He has also participated in several group exhibitions like Pulse Awards, Pulse Gallery, Phloen Chit, TH (2022), Somewhere in Bedok blooms the blushing rouge of embroidered roses, Singapore Pavilion, Dubai, UAE (2022), and International TAKIFUJI Art, Meiji Kinenkan; JP (2018), +Project BETWEEN, Gallery Tomo, JP (2017).

He was also featured in various print and online media such as Tatler, ELLE, Female, Men’s Folio, ArtReview, ArtAsiaPacific, ArtsEquator, The Artling, and Nenkansha New Art Newspaper.
